Here is my contribution to the images of printmaking studios, my carving station and printing station, all tidied up for the photo. I took these to show at a talk I recently gave to the Blandford Art Society.
The strop, I bought from a barber supplies company.
I have just come back from a few days in London. The Kuniyoshi exhibition in the Royal Academy www.royalacademy.org.uk/exhibitions/kuniyoshi is just stunning. It includes one carved block, and some hanshitas, as well as a large selection of his work.

This looks like a real workspace. I'm still working out my printing stationas I still have trouble keeping the paper accessible and damp at the same time.
I like the way yours is set with a damp paper and finished prints separated on either side so you can just pivot at the waist.
I definitely have some strop envy!
Thanks, the plastic green rubbish sacks work well and I keep the top layer on all the time while printing. I do move the printed ones back to position A before the next block so the rythm is always right to left, as I got confused and lost the plot when trying to go 'backwards'.
Only 1 cure for strop envy, any bit of thick old leather should work.
