I know you're not planning to work with this print any longer, but I took a look at the image full size and it looks to me as though you might be printing a little too wet. Try doing future printing with less water and see if you get a less "messy" result. Of course, there's such a thing as too dry, also. It can be tough to find the sweet spot with moisture, but most of us print too wet.
Also, you might want to try clearing a little wider around your relief areas to make it easier to isolate your colors. I usually clear about 3 finger-widths away from all printing areas.
